Google AdSense

Has anyone ever used Google AdSense? I am wondering if it's really worth it, or if there is a catch? It just seems so easy, letting them place advertising on my page and I get paid for it? Any information y'all know about this would be really helpful!! :) I'm considering it but don't really want to get sucked into something and then it not really be worth it. Thanks y'all!

  2. I've used it on a blog that I shared with a friend and it just attaches ads based on what you post about. Like if you post about "clothes" it might have ads about "cute" clothes (aka stripper/club wear). There may be a better way to get around that, but we never looked into it any further. I don't think we ever made any $$ either. ;)

  3. Do you get paid for the ads? Or only when someone clicks on the ads?

  5. I know that you get paid a very small amount when someone clicks on it...there is a minimum amount you have to reach before you start getting paid. If you ever click on your own ad...you are done. If the same people click on it everyday, you may not get paid. That's all I know.

  7. i think it's a small amount but if you have a lot of traffic it might be worth it. i hate the way it looks on people's pages though - kinda trashy and desperate looking to me.

  8. Love your blog! I usually just lurk but since I have adsense on my page I though I'd add my $.02.
I'm not crazy about how the ads look but I've had a really good experience with adsense. You can customize how many ads you want to put on your page and what size you'd to use. 99% of the time the ads are relevant to what you post about. Occasionally I'll get an auto ad or insurance ad but that's rare.
You get paid by click but also by page view.
The only annoying thing is they don't pay out until you reach your first $100 but if you get a decent amount of traffic and page views it doesn't take very long.
Feel free to email me if you have any more questions. : )
