4 states in one weekend!

TRAFFIC!! A nightmare...

This weekend Brice and I had a little road trip... ok we really had about 17 hours in the car while making it through 4 states. South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee & North Carolina! One thing I have realized with living in Charleston, it takes forever to go somewhere. Columbia & Atlanta are a little more central but tack on 2 more hours when you're coming from Charleston. We left Friday afternoon to head to Chattanooga, TN to see his friend Cole who just built his first house there!

 Cole's humble abode!

We had a fun time Friday night (ok early Saturday morning) exploring Chattanooga, what a cute city! I'd love to go up there and see a concert on the river, which apparently they have a lot of in the summer.  We got up Saturday morning, after only having about 5 hours or less of sleep and headed to Knoxville! Knoxville is only about an hour and a half from Chattanooga. Pete's (Brice's friend from Auburn) parents have a house there on the lake (really the Tennessee River). They had a big party filled with boating, music & BBQ!

The most exciting moment of the evening was when Pete proposed to Beth!! Little did Beth know, we all knew about it! They have been dating about 5 years so Beth's been waiting on this for a long time! She was so surprised and excited!!

Pete did a great job on that ring!!
 The happy couple!
We had a fun filled night... one of the highlights being karaoke. Wish the dj could have stayed all night!

We had a nice boat ride Sunday morning... apparently Kenny Chesney bought this house. It is HUGE so it wouldn't really surprise me!

It was a struggle heading back 7 hours to Charleston, but we did it... and I'm still exhausted today. Is this a sign that I am old?! Back to the job hunt... and getting some design stuff made up to start my little side business! Will post about that soon! :)
Here is a nice little karaoke clip of Josh & Cole singing George Strait's "The Chair"
