Personalized Christmas Cards

I am finally posting my personalized Christmas cards! Brice told me last Monday that we were leaving for Thanksgiving on Tuesday, therefore, no time to post!! Here are a few personalized Christmas cards. Of course, some of them could just be for regular occasions with fun colors (like pink and green of course!!)

{Christmas Cards}

I designed 4 Christmas cards that I thought I would share with all of you! They are very simple, but that's how I like them. I'm working on a few personalized designs as well that I hope to have up in the next day or two. I'm selling these in packs of 10, but of course you can get more than one pack!

{10 cards + 10 envelopes}
$12, which covers shipping.

If anyone is interested e-mail me at ashleybrooke83@gmail.com. The personalized cards will be $15, since it requires the personalization/more time. Look for those by Tuesday!

I am so excited the Christmas season is finally here! (Well, Friday it will be!) I already started decorating, but am waiting until next Monday night to put up my tree - the best part! :)

Weekend Recap: Last Night at Off the Hook! :(

Friday night Brice and I decided we didn't want to do ANYTHING! We were saving up for Saturday night, which would be the "last night at Off the Hook". Off the Hook is/was one of our favorite places on Sullivan's Island, primarily to go out on Saturday summer nights! DJ C.Nile plays every weekend and it's such a fun/beachy atmosphere! We got the news a week or two ago that they would be closing, so of course we planned to all go out for one last hoo-rah! On the bright side... word has it that it's going to be a Taco Boy!

We had a nice little get together at one of Brice's friends houses before heading on over.  We also said "we will not stay that long, it will probably get too crowded and we will want to leave". Not so much... we had a nice little corner booth aka our dancing space!

Today we decided to have a "Brice and Brooke adventure day!" We like to do this on Sunday afternoons during the fall and winter. Obviously in the summer we go to the beach! Today we decided to venture over to John's Island and see the Angel Oak. The Angel Oak is around 300-400 years old and is MASSIVE!

Look hard and you can see me standing in front of the tree!
tree limbs!
Then we ventured downtown so I could find the church I have been wanting to attend! I finally found it so we are planning to start going in a few weeks! Perfect timing for Christmas!
So pretty!!
We ventured down a little cobblestone street because they are my favorite!

I just love getting lost downtown... you find the best little secret places! Only problem... when a carriage stopped right in front of us and the horse just let it all out... I almost threw up!

Jenny & Chanan's Engagement Party!

Saturday we headed up to Spartanburg for Jenny & Chanan's engagement party! We have all been excited about this weekend for a while. It's so great when all of us can get together because not all of us live in Charleston. We were also very excited to wear our dresses!! My mom made me a dress to wear,  and I got tons of compliments! Thank you Mamma! :)

We stayed with Kira & Al in Greenville. Love them together!! I am constantly laughing when I am with these two!
The party was gorgeous, and there were SO many people! I wish we could do parties like this every weekend!
Brice and me
With Haley & Kira
With the beautiful bride to be!!
The future Mr. & Mrs. Cole :)
Between Brice and I, we have 12 friends getting married in the next year! INSANE! But the good thing is, we'll have a lot more fun parties to attend! I just hope none of them collide! :(

Birthday Update!

So I know it's been quite a while since I've posted anything, I'm so sorry about that! Last week was insanely busy between work, the gym, birthday festivities, and preparing for the weekend. On my actual birthday, which was last Tuesday, Brice came over and cooked me an amazing dinner! This was his first time cooking for me away from the grill and other than scrambled eggs :)

He did a great job, and chose a pasta (my favorite) dish that he sort of made up himself! He made a red wine/alfredo sauce which he poured over linguine and baked chicken. I cannot remember the exact recipe for the sauce, but I can tell you what it consisted of:

•diced onion
•better than boulion (chicken flavor)
•heavy whipping cream
•parmesan cheese
•salt & pepper of course!

Of course I had to stick my nose in everything and say "you should use this...", "now make sure you do this first..." he had to say "you just go sit down and let me cook!" Sounds like something I say to my mom when I try to do something! haha

Birthday girl, looking all tired and frazzled from a long day of work!
He also surprised me with this gorgeous little gem :)

Michael Kors = MY FAVORITE!!!!
I'd been pining over this watch for a while now! I love ANYTHING Michael Kors!

Friday night we ventured to Columbia for my birthday festivities with my family. Dinner consisted of steak, sweet potato, salad & RED VELVET CAKE :) heavennnn!

I had a fantastic birthday, thank you to all of my friends and family for making it so special! :)

We also had fun with Sophie of course!!

My Mamma has a blog!

I thought I'd share with y'all my mom's new (and first) blog, Sweet Tea & Pearls! I'm her only follower right now... go follow her HERE! She writes a lot better than I do, I type the way I talk! :o)

Day 20

Day 20... A Hobby of Yours

Well my hobbies vary from week to week, month to month, year to year. Sometimes I get bored with one thing... move to another and eventually come back to the first thing again. Consistently, I would have to say I have always enjoyed designing things I enjoy, painting, photography, decorating for the holidays {CHRISTMAS}, cooking, lounging on the beach, driving around looking at "dream houses" with Brice, and traveling if I have the money to do so!

A recent hobby I've found and am still trying to get started is selling Tastefully Simple! It's delicious, easy to prepare food that tastes like you took hours. You can make anything with one or two ingredients.

I just finished drinking a cup of their Butterscotch Kisses Cocoa - yum! It has little pieces of butterscotch in it!

I'm also excited to try a new cocktail that is a limited edition. Citrus Celebration Drink Mix with an orange/pineapple flavor all you do is add champagne (or sparkling water for a non-alcoholic version) and freeze. A great New Years treat!

Their Seasoned Salt has become my new BFF. So far, I've used it on steak, eggs, asparagus, roasted pumpkin seeds and chicken. It's been a success in my mouth with each! Next, I'm putting it on shrimp and grilling it on skewers. YUM!

A favorite of everyone is the Bountiful Beer Bread. It's addicting really, and the great thing is you can create your own bread with it. Add cinnamon, herbs, cheese, fruit, nuts, anything you'd like! I'm going to try adding some rosemary in mine, and dipping it in olive oil and spices. It also makes amazing french toast!!

With Christmas right around the corner, we can't help but to wonder what to get everyone. Especially if you're on a budget! Tastefully Simple offers great gift packages for under $20! I know my mom bought some and is going to add a few items to them for gifts. After all, everyone enjoys food! You don't have to worry that it won't fit, it's not their style, or they already have it.

If any of you are interested in ordering or becoming a consultant you can do so through my web site, www.tastefullysimple.com/web/bjackson2. You don't have to have a party, which is a great perk with Tastefully Simple. But if you are interested in having a party just contact me! They're lots of fun!

The Big 2-7!

It's not my birthday until Tuesday but this weekend we celebrated with my friends! A group of us all met at one of my all time favorite restaurants, Basil. Basil serves Thai cuisine and it is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! If you have never had Thai food before and would like to try it... Basil is delicious! Every time I have gone I only eat about half of my plate. So this weekend Brice and I decided we would split our dinner. We ordered Basil Rolls for an appetizer, these are delicious! They include shrimp, rice noodles, lettuce, bean sprouts, & basil wrapped in a rice paper wrapper. It's also served with their house sauce that is sweet with a hint of spice! SO DELICIOUS my mouth is watering just typing this! For our entree we had the traditional Pad Thai. It's my favorite because it reminds me of peanut butter! haha... Pad Thai is the national dish of Thailand. Rice noodles stir fried with chicken, shrimp, bean sprouts, eggs, scallions, peanuts and pad thai sauce. I have to stop talking about it because it's making me HUNGRY!

They brought me a fried green tea icecream birthday cake! It was delicious! However, we couldn't eat all of it because of our full tummies!
My sweet Bricey Pooh!
My friend Jonny came in town... he's currently up for the Cosmo Bachelor of the Year for South Carolina. So guess what my birthday present was? A signed copy the Cosmo he's in hahaha, hilarious!

We met up with the rest of our friends after dinner. Chelsea bought me a bottle of champagne that we happily popped! Thanks to the wonderful bartender that allowed us to bring it in! :)

We had a really fun night and it's official that I'm getting old... I've slept for about 2 days straight! I'm looking forward to getting my new iPhone 4 in the mail, and to have more birthday celebrations! I can't believe I'm 27... it seems so old even though I know it's not!
Happy Birthday to me! :)

Day 19

I know I've been the slackest person in the world with this 30 day blog challenge thing! There are just some days where I don't have time or I just don't feel like blogging! So I am just going to take my time with it and I will finish it when I finish it :)

Day 19: A Talent of Yours

I can't really say I have a "talent".  I am pretty sure most things that I do and some people would consider a "talent"... is only because I've been trained in it. My major in college was Studio Art and my focus was painting & graphic design. I also took courses in drawing, printmaking, 3D art, sculpture and ceramics. But if I had to say I had a talent it would have to be in this area considering the fact that I've loved art since I could hold a pencil! (my parents still have my first "sketchbook") But I don't really think I have any rare talents by any means!

I promise to keep up with my blog a little better this week :0)

Pumpkin Oat Muffins!

Last night as I was perusing blogs on my dashboard, I ran across a post from Belleicious Kids that sounded amazing! It's that time of year where anything pumpkin immediately catches my attention. Light and delicious pumpkin muffins... yes please! I immediately wrote the recipe down and kept in mind that I was going to bake these tonight!

They are SO easy to make and use such healthy ingredients so I didn't feel the least bit guilty! Not to mention I made Brice a plate, so it gives me the excuse "I'm making Brice pumpkin muffins!" and I felt like such a great girlfriend!

They turned out so fluffy and delicious, not to mention my apartment smells AMAZING!

1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp nutmeg
1 15 oz. can of pumpkin
2 small containers of applesauce (I used the cinnamon flavor)
2 eggs
1/3 c. olive oil (yes, olive oil!)
1 c. oats
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. honey

Whisk flour, salt, baking soda & baking powder together in a bowl.

In a separate bowl, whisk all remaining ingredients.

Combine together, scoop into greased muffin tins and pop in the oven on 350* until golden brown!

I check by sticking a toothpick in the center, when it comes out clean it is done!

I had to take a pic of my little display!

I decided to taste one while they were still warm! I drizzled a little honey over it and it was delicious!
